- I am a 46-year-old home educating mother of two boys: 'Calvin' (aged 12) and 'Hobbes' (aged 8). Both boys lived in Asia for most of their lives, including four years in China. We moved to Scotland in the summer of 2008 with husband, the rock on whom we all depend. We home educate in an eclectic, classically-influenced style. We all love to read, and take foreign language study seriously; Hobbes in particular wants to study as many languages with different scripts as possible. I try to balance our bookish tendencies with daily exercise.
